# How can I delete my leave request before it is approved?

If a leave request hasn't been approved or rejected by an [approver](https://support.getpause.com/en/article/assign-or-change-approver-for-a-member-pmaxp2/) or [admin](https://support.getpause.com/en/article/make-a-teammate-an-admin-gh6acw/), you can safely delete it from Pause.

## To delete your leave request:

**Step 1:** Click on the **leave request** you would like to cancel on your calendar.

**Step 2:** In the panel that pops up, click on **Delete**.
