# What can I do with the Pause Slack bot?

Slack is a workspace tool that helps teams keep in constant contact with each other, even when working remotely. The Pause Slack bot helps you perform leave-related tasks and get important information with a simple Slack command!

You can only use the Pause Slack bot if you've [integrated Pause with Slack](https://support.getpause.com/en/article/how-to-integrate-pause-with-your-slack-workspace-oc9dgr/).

## How to summon the Slack Pause bot:

**Step 1:** Type **/pause** into any chat or channel.

**Step 2:** Click the **Send** arrow button or hit **Enter** (don't worry, this text won't show up to others!).

**Step 3:** In the menu that pops up, click on the option that best fits what you want to do.
