How to set up deductible leave types

Deductible leave types are paid and have a fixed allowance for employees to use. This limit needs to be set by the admin. In case a team member uses up their entire deductible leave allowance, they will then be able to apply for unpaid leave.

What can deductible leave be set for?



Deductible leave policies are mostly used by organisations that have a fixed leave allowance. They are used for leave types such as annual, vacation and sick leaves.

To set up deductible leave options, you need to be an admin. Deductible leave types include sick and casual leave.

How to set up a deductible leave type



Step 1: Select the Leave Policy icon on the top navigation bar.

Step 2: Under the Deductible Leaves section, click on + Add New Type. A panel will open up on the right side.



Step 3: Enter the Name, Description, Number of Leaves and Other Settings

Note: Under the Number of Leaves section, you can choose to credit leaves yearly or monthly.

Step 4: Click on the Add button.



The new leave policy will now be live and applicable to all your teammates.

How to edit a deductible leave type



Step 1: Select the Leave palm tree icon on the top navigation bar.

Step 2: Click on the leave type you want to edit.

Step 3: Edit the details you want to change from the right panel.

Step 4: Click the button on the right panel to confirm the edit.

Your edits will now be visible to your entire organisation.

Note: Changing the allowance on a deductible leave in the middle of your calendar year can impact the allowances of all teammates in your organisation.
